Application Process
Now that you've selected the country and High School Study Abroad program for your cultural exploration, you're ready to begin the application process for academic year, semester or high school summer.
- Check Requirements and Deadlines for Your High School Program
- Check the program details section for the country and program of your choice to find the general requirements and deadlines. Not sure you qualify? Contact a Study Abroad Program Advisor at 800.579.1709.
- Start the process early! Keep in mind that many of our programs have limited capacity and fill up before the official deadline.
- Complete an Application
- Apply Online. It's easy to apply online. It takes just a few minutes to create an account and get started! (You will need a credit card number to submit your complete application online. The card will not be charged the $500 enrollment deposit until Acceptance into the program.)
- Compile all of your application forms as soon as possible. Applications for most programs include a doctor's evaluation, teacher recommendations, and official high school transcripts. It may take 1-3 weeks to get all of the information you need.
- Take the time to ensure that your application is neat and complete. Your application will be used to introduce you to your future school and host family. We also evaluate the overall quality of your application when awarding partial scholarships.

- Submit a partial scholarship application with your program application if you would like to apply for the Youth Leader Scholarship.
If you prefer to complete a paper application, download the appropriate paper application. Please note that applications are program and country specific.
- Send Intrax Study Abroad your Full Application. Include a $500 deposit with your application. The deposit is the first payment toward your program fees and is fully refundable if you are not accepted into the program for any reason. The deposit becomes non-refundable once you have received Intrax Preliminary Acceptance. Please note that any promotional discounts apply to the remaining program fees and not the $500 application deposit which needs to be paid in full with the submission of your application.
