Life-Changing Exchange Experiences

Ayusa, the first Intrax division, gives high school students and families the chance to live a true cultural exchange experience. Ayusa students attend high school and participate in local activities and community service, learning about their new country and family, and building lifelong relationships.

Host families open their homes and hearts to students for a semester or year. They practice cultural diplomacy by sharing their lives with a student from across the world and have an enriching experience for the whole family.

Review the Ayusa program requirements for host families and exchange students to make sure you are a good fit for the program, then complete the application.
Prepare

After you have submitted your application, a local Ayusa representative will work with you to complete the in-person interview and collect other necessary documents. Whether you are a host family looking for a Danish student who appreciates music, or a Chinese student yearning to experience the American countryside, there is a perfect match waiting for you.
Placement

Approved host families login to learn more about students’ hobbies and interests to find the best fit to join their family. Ayusa representatives assist host families every step of the way to answer questions and offer their expert advice. Students anxiously wait for their placement information to arrive with details about their new family and home for the year.
Travel

Time for an adventure! Ayusa representatives help students arrange to leave home and explore the world.  The representatives will also provide host families insider tips on preparing for a new family member.
